Exelixis Virtual Medical Affairs

In the pharmaceutical industry, annual congress events are an important opportunity for researchers, healthcare professionals (HCPs), clinicians, medical directors, and key opinion leaders. They come together and learn about the latest scientific discoveries and proposed therapies for particular disease states. Inhance worked with our agency partner to create this virtual exhibit experience to support multiple virtual congress events for Exelixis.

 

The Challenge

Like many other companies, Exelixis was challenged with how to engage their audience while in-person events were postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

 

The Solution

We developed a digital twin of the Exelixis medical affairs booth. The result is a photo-real and altogether familiar. Using our Virtual Exhibit and Event Platform (VEEP), we created a very engaging virtual environment modeled as a modern, easy-to-navigate booth experience.

 

The Result

Each virtual visitor can browse recent clinical trials, pipeline information, and publications. There is an engaging, "app-less" AR activation (*similar to physical booth tactics) that allows visitors to use their mobile device and scan the QR code image on the virtual site to access an interactive Mechanism of Action (MoD). The site reported 4X typical web-based engagements during the virtual events. Built-in metrics and reporting provided actionable insights on how visitors are exploring content on the site. This experience is web-based and responsive across various devices and browser technology.
